Ethical Approval

In relation to the quantitative and qualitative evaluation being undertaken by GfK-NOP, COREC has advised that:

  • REC approval is NOT required as GfK NOP’s survey is part of an evaluation
  • Informed consent is considered to have been given when a completed questionnaire has been returned, provided that the covering letter provides the necessary information about the project.   Patients will be given the option to return a blank questionnaire to exclude themselves from the process.

ADSS approval is being sought for non NHS sites.

Please note that no information collected in the survey will be individually identifiable.
