Additional action learning workshop
26 July 2007
This workshop was designed to help the Information Prescription pilot sites share experiences and learning from the development work they have been doing, in preparation for launching information prescriptions (IPs).
Report from the day
This short report outlines the issues discussed, and includes the programme, a list of workshop participants and evaluation notes.
Objectives
The workshop objectives were to:
- encourage delegates to share their learning and to network
- provide an update from sites on the progress they had made, and explore challenges ahead
- facilitate action learning on key development themes
- identify future areas where shared learning and support would be beneficial.
Workshop format
Invitations were sent to pilot sites and members of the Project Board; we provided space for two delegates per pilot to attend. Pilots were encouraged to bring along any relevant information they wanted to share with other pilots.
To help pilots get the most out of the day, they were asked to think in advance about the kinds of issues that are important to them and the areas of their work they would like to share with other pilots. Two free sessions during the day gave them the opportunity to do so.
Pilots were also asked to think about what additional challenges they would face if they were to extend the scope of their pilot to cover more health & social care settings and potentially include additional long term health conditions. The programme is keen to see how the local challenges and issues pilots identify could provide lessons for the wider national roll out.
